First of all we should know the meaning of Dietician- They plan, monitor and supervise the diet for patients (with medical conditions like diabetics, food allergies, gastro-intestinal disturbances etc. across hospitals, clinics, health centres, sports centres or their own private clinics.
To Be a Dietician –
1)Clear class 12th with any stream (science with biology is preferred)
2)Pursue BSC/BA nutrition or BSC food technology
3)Pursue a PG Diploma in Nutrition or an MSC in food nutrition
4)Intern for 6 months and clear the registered Dietician entrance exam (to obtain the Registered Dietician License from IDA).
For Nutritionist –
1)Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in an area like dietician, human nutrition food and nutrition and community nutrition.
2)Complete at least 900 hours of clinical nutrition experience.
3)Pass an examination through the commission on dietetic registration (CDR).
